ZIM signs $2.3 billion deal for ten LNG dual-fuel container ships
ZIM has signed new long-term charter agreements for ten 11,500 TEU liquefied natural gas (LNG) dual-fuel container vessels, with a total charter hire valued at approximately $2.3 billion.
Seven of the ships will be provided by Container Ventures Holdings Inc., a TMS Group affiliate, while the remaining three will come from a company affiliated with Kenon Holdings, ZIM’s former largest shareholder. All ten vessels are to be built at the Zhoushan Changhong Shipyard in China, with deliveries scheduled between 2027 and 2028.
