Singapore prepares to carry out its first ethanol bunkering operation
The Maritime and Port Authority of Singapore (MPA) has announced new initiatives to advance alternative marine fuels and accelerate the adoption of electric harbour craft at the 24th Singapore International Bunkering Conference (SIBCON) 2026.
Opened on 14 October by Murali Pillai, Senior Minister of State for Law and Transport, SIBCON is being held from 13 to 15 October under the theme “Charting a Resilient Multi-Fuel Future”. The biennial conference is expected to attract more than 2,000 maritime professionals from over 60 countries.
