India conducts its first methanol bunkering trial in Kandla Port

Kandla Port successfully conducted India’s first shore-to-ship methanol bunkering trial on 2 April in collaboration with Stolt Tankers, Vopak and Indian Oil Corporation Limited.

The demonstration, held at Kandla Port in Gujarat, marks the first methanol bunkering trial of its kind in India’s port sector, according to the Deendayal Port Authority, which highlighted the port’s readiness to supply methanol as a marine fuel.
