Company signs contract for ammonia dual-fuel carriers
Yara Clean Ammonia (YCA) has signed a long-term shipping deal with Navigator Amon Shipping to secure two modern medium gas carriers (MGCs), each with 51,000 cbm capacity.
As explained, the vessels are equipped with dual-fuel engines and ice-class notation, ensuring year-round access to Northern Europe while supporting the use of renewable and low-emission fuels. The new ships are expected to lower freight costs per tonne, boost margins, and enhance flexibility while preparing the company for rising demand and stricter environmental standards.
